From Our Family to Yours: We Look Forward to Safely Hosting You in 2020

UPDATED JUNE 11, 2020: Starting June 21^st we will be open to Manitoban, Western Canadian and Northwestern Ontario guests.

If you’ve reached this page, you’re likely either a past guest or friend, or someone in search of an amazing (fishing) getaway in Canada’s North – we’re glad you’re here and couldn’t be more excited to officially announce that we will be opening our lodge and outposts on June 21^st.

We would also like to commend the amazing efforts of Manitobans in their ability to flatten the curve. Because of your efforts we are able to confidently move forward in safely opening our operations, and allowing us to do what we know and love best: offering once-in-a-lifetime adventures in Manitoba’s North!

As we prepare to open on June 21^st the safety of our guests and staff is a top priority for us. As such, we have created and implemented additional safety measures in response to COVID-19. See some of our safety measures below.

MAIN LODGE

Adhering to all protocols and guidelines set-out by the Government of Canada and the Government of Manitoba, as well as the Manitoba Hotel Association.
All staff and guests must stay home if they are ill with COVID-19 symptoms.
Increased daily cleaning measures to all surfaces that staff and guests come into contact with (i.e. surfaces in private cabins, main lodge, office building, boats, etc.).
Social distancing protocols will be in place (i.e. two meters between dining tables, etc.).
Hand sanitizer will be available in key areas.
Signs will be posted throughout the lodge with COVID-19 protocols.

OUTPOSTS

Outpost cabins will also be thoroughly cleaned before each new party arrives.
Boats at the outpost cabins will also be cleaned before each new party arrives.

FLIGHTS WITH WINGS OVER KISSISSING

Wings Over Kississing will also be adhering to all Transport Canada safety measures and protocols. Some of these safety measures include:

For guests flying from Winnipeg: When you arrive at the Wings Over Kississing base, you will be asked to fill out the Manitoba COVID-19 Screening Tool prior to boarding the aircraft.
For guests driving to Flin Flon: When you arrive at our Wings Over Kississing float base in Flin Flon you will be asked to fill out the Manitoba COVID-19 Screening Tool prior to boarding the float plane.
The aircraft will be thoroughly cleaned before each flight.
Face masks will be required on all flights. Wings Over Kississing will provide masks if you do not have your own (we are fully stocked).
